FIFTH GRADE

July 2007

Dear Families,

We are looking forward to working with you this year. We have a great many things to learn and discover together. To be prepared for the first day of school, we have a few things we would like the fifth grade students to bring to school the first day of school:

  • It will be be helpful to have a few sharpened pencils and a backpack to carry things to and from school each day.

  • Be prepared to share something about your summer. Bring in a picture you have taken with a camera or neatly drawn picture to go along with your share. We will be displaying these pictues around the classroom.

  • We will be having a Quiet Reading Time after lunch on the first day of school. Students are welcome to choose a book from the classroom library or bring a favorite book from home to read during this special time.
