Barbara Grant began teaching in South Portland since 1975. She taught one year at Lincoln School (now the Greater Portland Christian School), one year at Dyer school, and has been a fixture at Small School since 1977. She has taught grades kindergarten through four. For eight years she team taught a K-2 multiage program with Mrs. Hayes. She has landed in first grade for the last decade or so as adores the age level! She values and loves the enthusiasm and innocence of six and seven year olds! So much growth happens here in the course of one year! She is married to Mark, who is also a teacher. She has one daughter, Libby, who keeps the family very busy with sports and extra-curricular activities. Libby loves to visit her Mom at school and often helps her prepare materials on the week-ends! In her free time (what little there is) Mrs. Grant loves to cook, read, travel, and spend days strolling the beach.Feel free to contact her anytime if you have issues or concerns or just want to chat about your child.
